Health & Safety
Health and Safety is a priority for Mastiff Engineering Ltd. All of our personnel are trained to the highest standard. The entire company inventory of machines and equipment are thoroughly examined and certified safe to use by a qualified inspector. A Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) will be supplied in advance of the works ensuring the necessary safety controls are in place.
GA1 – 6month certification for all lifting equipment and machinery in stock. Examined by an inspector and certified. This form will be included in the bar code section of the sign in/out for equipment leaving the stock yard.
Risk Assessment Method Statement – Supplied with each job. A document which states the methodology the job will be carried out in as well as the men working on the task and the possible risks associated with each task within the over all job. – may be possible to send this to client via the app and will reduce the amount of amendments made to a RAMS once it has been submitted. Mastiff will always have the final copy if this ran through the app.
Lift Plan – Supplied with all lifts to be carried out by cranes, spider crane and in some cases with 3600 teleporter lifts. – as with the RAMS can send on once the quotation is accepted.
Contract Lifts – Mastiff take full responsibility and liability for the item being lifted and will cover same with our insurance, in some cases a temporary increase on the cover is required. Insurance charges for this still need to be confirmed as in we are estimating the charge per lift now, we do need to have a system of standard charges implemented as per the value of each lift. The app may help with this as our clients will be required to let us know the value of each item we are lifting, it is often hard to get this information.
Standard Lifts – Mastiff are carrying out the lift/move/install with no liability in the case an item being moved/lifted gets damaged in the process. Again this needs to be clearly defined as the clients are currently hesitating as to whether it is a standard or contract lift which makes it difficult for us to assess the financial risks if something is to go wrong. The terms and conditions check box will clear this up.
